Electroplating is deposited on the surface of metals when electricity is applied to substrates. Electroless plating enables to obtain deposits on metal or ceramics from chemical reaction by immersing substrates into aqueous solutions.

Differences in deposits
The most widely used is electroless nickel bathes containing sodium hypophosphite as a reducing agent. High corrosion-, abrasion-resistance, high hardness and/or other unique properties can be obtained by changing film composition.
