To solve these issues, OKUNO has newly developed silica-based thin-film coating solution (Protector series) that can achieve high insulation and high corrosion resistance by small thickness.
OKUNO's strength in silica-based coating solution
Silica-based thin coating is a method to obtain ceramic coating films by hydrolysis and condensation polymerization reaction from metallic solutions.
The thin coat can be formed by low-temperature heat treatment from 100 to 150℃ utilizing the chemical reaction (sol-gel process) in liquid phase.
In the process, covalent bond will occur on the surface of substrates between silanol group (Si-OH) and hydroxyl group (-OH), which can improve adhesion strength.
