Product features, specifications

As a water-repellent surface that are found in nature, lotus leaves are known. The surface of each lotus leaf has ultra-micro protrusions in several micrometers, and such microscopically uneven structures exhibit a water-repellent effect on the leaves. Once water falls on the leave, their unique structures change water into small droplets that wash off the leaf surface together with dirt and foreign matters. By chemically reproducing the lotus effect, we have succeeded to give anti-dirt and self-cleaning effects on aluminum surface. We have developed this process for new applications such as anti-dirt treatments for buildings, the frost prevention for air conditioner parts, and the improvements of thermal conductivity in cooling parts by preventing water deposition.
