Chromium-free black pigment, equivalent with chromium-based pigments

Hexavalent chromium does not exist naturally and is widely used a raw material for dyes, pigments, oxidizers, abrasives and plating chemicals.
However, hexavalent chromium is a carcinogen.
If we touch the solutions containing it or inhale the vapor, it can cause inflammation in the human body, so it is regulated by the RoHS directives and the likes.
On the other hand, trivalent chromium exists in nature, but depending on the conditions, trivalent chromium can be transformed into hexavalent chromium.
In the future, not only hexavalent chromium but also trivalent chromium may be subject to environmental regulations. Therefore, we have developed a new chrome-free black pigment as an environmentally friendly product.

Product features, specifications

This product can be processed and used as a paste or slurry in the same way as conventional products. Blackness can be controlled to any desired level by adjusting the amount of pigment mixed with glass powder, epoxy resin and other key ingredients.
In addition, like chrome pigments, it has good wettability with matrix components such as resins and glass, and can achieve blackness equivalent to that of chrome pigments.
With high chemical resistance and insulation properties, and heat resistance up to 1000°C, it is ideal for automotive windshields, rear and side windows, and front glass of microwave ovens.
